ALPHA Bioenergy Ltd was founded in Thessaloniki in 2011, as a subsidiary of the Greek branch of multinational company INTERGEO Ltd. The Company’s main field of activity is to provide specialized solutions in the field of wastewater treatment and management by upgrading the performance of existing wastewater treatment plants, providing technical advice and conducting technical inspections of wastewater treatment plants.

The core of the company’s activity is the development and application of bioaugmentation technology.

Cooperation with Bluetector A.G.

Bluetector A.G. is a Swiss company focusing on the treatment of heavily polluted wastewaters, i.e., manure, toilet cabin wastewater and digestate from anaerobic plants. These waste streams are characterized by chemical oxygen demand (COD) and ammonia (NH4) concentrations that can be up to 100 times higher than in urban wastewater, thus making their treatment challenging. With the combined use of an advanced biological treatment plant (BlueBox Ultra) and our proprietary bacteria such type of wastewater is feasible to be effectively treated with limited cost.

Alpha bio Ltd. has been certified according to EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (No: 010160061), to EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (No: 20051190001226), to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (No: 20152200002875), to ISO 39001:2012 Road Traffic Safety Management System (No: 20002210006187) and to ISO 37001:2016 Anti-bribery Management System (Νο 20024220007025). Furthermore, it applies the international guidance ISO 26000:2010 as the framework to integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (No 20452210006188) into the values and practices for its activities and applies a Security and Resilience Management System according to ISO 28000:2022 (Νο 20011240012231).
